È la nuova frontiera contro i chili di troppo messa a punto dai ricercatori dell’Imperial College di Londra grazie ai fondi dell’European Research Council.  Il microchip è collegato al nervo vago che regola importanti funzioni, ad esempio: la regolazione dell’umore, del sonno e, appunto, dell’appetito. La stimolazione, dunque, del nervo vago attraverso impulsi elettrici programmati costituisce già una vera e propria terapia medica sperimentata nei casi di epilessia e depressione farmaco-resistenti.

Is the new frontier against the pounds developed by the researchers from Imperial College London with funding from the European Research Council. The microchip is connected to the vagus nerve, which regulates important functions, for example: the regulation of mood, sleep and, in fact, the appetite. The stimulation, therefore, of the vagus nerve through electrical impulses programmed already constitutes a real medical therapy experienced in cases of drug-resistant epilepsy and depression.
